The business end of an Allosaurus and a stunning specimen.
The dentary is the tooth bearing bone of the lower jaw. This specimen shows lots of detail. There are fully erupted and partially erupted teeth and some teeth are just beginning to appear in some sockets. It also shows changes is tooth shape along the tooth row.
Circular openings on the outer surface are for the passage of blood vessels and nerves.
