The perch-like Priscacara was a fish that lived in the great Eocene age lakes of the western U.S.
This predator traveled in schools in the near shore and mid-lake environments.
This cast is of an well preserved individual, showing robust fin spines in the erect fin on the back. See items 133 and 135 for other fish that lived with Priscacara.
