140. Saurophaganax maximus
Thumb Claw

Saurophaganax maximus Thumb Claw Late Jurassic
Western North America

Saurophaganax was the biggest predatory dinosaur of the Jurassic world, approaching T. rex in size. However, Saurophaganax is a rare dinosaur, known only from one quarry in Oklahoma.

Its forearms were large and powerful and ended in a sharp, recurved claw. This thumb claw is painted to match the distinctive, nearly white color of the original bone.

See product 117 for this claw with a restored sheath.
