Allosaurus fragilis was one of the largest predatory dinosaurs of the Late Jurassic.
The claws on the hand were sharp to hold onto prey.
However, the claws on the feet, like this specimen, were broader, blunter, and less recurved than those of the hand. This reflects their use in locomotion rather than grasping.
